Yamaichi Metal invited globally renowned artist Hiroko Takahashi to deliver a lecture to local high school students.
Hiroko Takahashi is a professor at Musashino Art University and is involved in various creations through her original brand, HIROCOLEDGE, in addition to her artworks using kimono as an expressive medium. She has recently expanded her activities across genres, collaborating with companies like Adidas and BMW both domestically and internationally. Some of her works are permanently housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

This lecture was part of Yamaichi Metal’s CSR activities, aiming to contribute to the local community and support the growth of young people. Titled “Infinite Possibilities Born from Constraints,” Takahashi shared her experiences and projects, as well as insights into the power of design and the allure of her work.

During the discussion session after the lecture, many students asked questions, leading to a lively and engaging atmosphere. The accompanying teachers expressed their delight at the deeper learning experience facilitated by the Q&A session. We are thrilled that this opportunity helped students broaden their perspectives on design possibilities and future career prospects.

Yamaichi Metal is committed to continuing its active support for local youth, contributing to the development of the community and nurturing the talents of the next generation.
