Yamaichi Metal recycles approximately 3.5 billion aluminum cans annually and has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to reduce CO2 emissions during this process.
While traditional recycled aluminum ingots require melting pellets, Yamaichi Metal’s tablets eliminate this melting process. By using these tablets as raw material for aluminum cans, we have successfully reduced CO2 emissions by 97% and almost completely eliminated electricity usage.
The necessary funds for equipment investment and other needs have been provided through a loan from Shizuoka Bank, which supports companies engaging in SDGs initiatives. Moving forward, we will continue to promote decarbonization and strive to achieve the SDGs.
