Yamaichi Metal Co., Ltd. was established in April 1961, marking its 60th anniversary in 2021. To commemorate this milestone and embark on a new journey with renewed determination, we have revamped our symbol mark and logotype. The design was commissioned from Ms. Hiroko Takahashi, an artist who is active both domestically and internationally.
We spoke with Ms. Hiroko Takahashi about this new symbol mark.
“After speaking with President Oga, I realized that despite aluminum cans and their recycling being very familiar to us, we have lived our lives knowing very little about them. This reflection sparked a strong interest in me. During my visit to the factory, I was amazed and moved by how Yamaichi Metal not only engages in recycling but also maximizes environmental considerations throughout the process and continues to challenge itself with innovative know-how. The existence of Yamaichi Metal, which actively continues to challenge itself to reduce the burden on the Earth’s finite resources and environment, should make us reconsider our way of living.
Observing such efforts from various perspectives, I extracted four elements that symbolize Yamaichi Metal. These elements are all encompassed within the new symbol mark.
I hope that the symbol mark and logotype I have created will not only embody Yamaichi Metal, which aims to be a leading company in material recycling but also become a widely loved symbol of resource regeneration in society.”

We proudly present this new symbol mark as a representation of our unwavering commitment. Under our corporate philosophy of “Coexistence and Co-prosperity,” we will continue to take on various challenges with stronger determination and ambition to contribute broadly from local communities to the global environment.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support of Yamaichi Metal.
