Kōhō Shimizu, a public-relations magazine distributed in Shimizu Town, Sunto District, Shizuoka Prefecture, featured Yamaichi Metal’s initiatives in the August 2024 (Reiwa 6) issue under the section “Town Enterprises Working on SDGs.”

We are a company that recycles and reprocesses more than 3 billion used aluminum cans annually.
Our main product, “Yamaichi Green Tablet,” eliminates the melting process, reducing electricity consumption and CO₂ emissions while suppressing waste generation and thoroughly removing impurities during recycling.
In addition, by formulating a decarbonization roadmap and using CO₂-free electricity, we are promoting the realization of carbon neutrality.
For us, who aim for sustainable environmental activities and contributions to the local community, it is a great honor that Yamaichi Metal’s efforts were introduced as the first installment of this feature.

Yamaichi Metal will continue to collaborate and co-create with Shimizu Town, which upholds the vision of “creating a town where everyone can live comfortably together.” Especially from the perspective of the SDGs, we will keep striving to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and fulfill our responsibility as an environmentally friendly company.
Please look forward to our future initiatives.
