Companies in Shizuoka Prefecture Actively Engaging in Decarbonization

An interview with Yamaichi Metal was featured on the front page of the Shizuoka Shimbun’s February 16, 2022 issue, in the “Decarbonization Policies and Companies” section. The article highlights Yamaichi Metal as a company actively pursuing decarbonization efforts.

Efficient Recycling of Aluminum Cans and Foil

In anticipation of a decarbonized society, Yamaichi Metal has developed a proprietary technology to roast, compress, and tabletize collected aluminum cans and foil. This innovation has streamlined the manufacturing process, reducing electricity consumption to about 10% of that required for traditional recycled aluminum. The significantly lower power consumption contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions, a major cause of global warming.

Social and Environmental Contributions Through Corporate Activities

Decarbonization is an unavoidable aspect of continuing corporate activities. For resource-scarce Japan, it also means making the best use of existing resources. Yamaichi Metal aims to continue actively promoting decarbonization, striving for social and environmental contributions.
