We attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the joint venture company with UACJ Corporation, held at their Fukui manufacturing plant.
The new joint venture company was established to accelerate the promotion of horizontal recycling of aluminum cans. By creating a new supply chain from UBC (used beverage can) collection to aluminum can-derived pellets, we aim to increase domestic UBC usage, promote the SDGs, and improve the CAN to CAN recycling rate.

This project aims to achieve significant CO2 reduction and industrial waste reduction by accelerating the horizontal recycling of used aluminum cans back into new aluminum cans. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from key companies involved in the plant construction, who expressed their strong commitment to future cooperation and sustainable development.
The joint venture company is scheduled to start operations in April 2025 and will continue to pursue sustainable development initiatives.
