Yamaichi Metal has been featured on the Shizuoka Prefectural Government’s website under “Examples of Sustainable Finance Initiatives.”

The article highlights the donation-based Positive Impact Finance (PIF) agreement we signed with Shizuoka Bank in September 2023. This is the first agreement of its kind in Shizuoka Prefecture. It identifies the impact of a company’s activities on the “environment,” “society,” and “economy” and involves making donations to local governments or organizations based on the achievement of specific impact enhancement goals (KPIs).

The donation content of this initiative includes both “goods” and “experiences.” For “goods,” we will donate emergency water supplies in aluminum bottles from our business partners to local high schools and communities in Sunto District (Nagaizumi Town) where we have a track record of hiring talent. For “experiences,” we will host a presentation competition for local high school students on their “dreams they want to achieve” and will provide funding to the winning high school to help realize their dream.

We will continue to collaborate with like-minded companies to further achieve the SDGs.
