RECYCLE
Recycling aluminum foil with resin has been considered difficult because the resin and aluminum are bonded together. Over 40 years ago, almost all aluminum foil with resin was disposed of in landfills.
Amid concerns about the long-term environmental impact, we were selected for a NEDO project concerning the reuse of aluminum foil with resin and aluminum caps. At the same time, we began internal research and, after years of repeated successes and failures, we succeeded in mass production and commercialization in an environmentally friendly manner.
If aluminum foil with resin is being disposed of in landfills outside of Japan, we would like to actively engage in recycling efforts to reduce environmental impact.

Since aluminum foil with resin has product information printed on it, it is necessary to maintain confidentiality from collection and receipt to storage and processing. We take utmost care to prevent theft and dispersion and to ensure that product information does not leak outside. We also offer the creation of recycling certificates as needed.

The aluminum part of the aluminum foil with resin is transformed into a new material, "aluminum pellets," while the resin part is used as "fuel," serving as an energy source necessary for Yamaichi Metal's recycling process, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Metal scraps mixed in during the collection process of aluminum cans, and aluminum ash generated during the recycling process, typically become industrial waste in ordinary recycling. Yamaichi Metal carefully separates and recovers valuable materials without using flux, preventing them from becoming industrial waste.

In the process of producing virgin materials (new ingots) for aluminum cans, a large amount of electricity is consumed to extract aluminum from ore. On the other hand, Yamaichi Metal's recycling technology for producing scrap materials (recycled aluminum) eliminates the high-temperature electric furnace melting process, reducing electricity consumption by 99.9% compared to new ingots.

By eliminating the energy-intensive melting process, we significantly reduce the CO2 emissions associated with electricity generation. Additionally, we are exploring the use of 100% renewable energy (non-fossil sources) for all electricity used in our processes. Moving forward, we aim for zero Scope 1 (direct emissions from our operations) emissions, achieving carbon neutrality in our production processes.

Aluminum foil with resin collected from across the country is transported to the crushing process.

It is finely crushed to an appropriate size and sent to the incinerator.

By roasting the resin part of the crushed aluminum foil with resin, it serves as a substitute for heavy oil as an auxiliary fuel in the recycling process.

The granular aluminum is extracted without oxidation.
After consultation, we will purchase the following items as valuable materials and arrange for collection at our expense.
